This Privacy Policy explains how Property Companion ("we", "us", the "app"), operated by Zeitio, collects and handles your personal information when you use our mobile application and related services. By using Property Companion, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

Account information — such as your name and email address, used to create and secure your account.
Property data — details, dimensions, notes and photos you add for the properties you evaluate ("property cases").
Communications — messages you send us for support or feedback.

Information collected automatically

Usage data — how you interact with features, to help us improve the app.
Device data — device type, operating system and app version, for compatibility and troubleshooting.

AI advisor content

When you use the AI Property Advisor, the questions you ask and the relevant property-case details are processed to generate a response. Do not include information you would not want processed for this purpose.

3. How we use your information

To provide core features — property cases, checklists, market analysis, risk scoring and the AI advisor.
To create, secure and manage your account.
To process subscriptions and verify entitlements.
To respond to your support requests.
To improve, troubleshoot and secure the app.
To comply with legal obligations.

4. Legal bases for processing

Where applicable law (such as the GDPR) requires it, we process your data on the bases of performing our contract with you, your consent, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the app, and compliance with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the app, and only as needed, including:

Authentication — to securely sign you in and manage your identity.
Subscription management — RevenueCat and the app stores (Apple, Google) to process and verify purchases.
AI processing — providers that generate advisor responses from your queries.
Infrastructure and analytics — hosting and diagnostics providers that keep the app running.

We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights and users.

6. Data retention

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the app. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we must retain limited records to meet legal, tax or security obligations.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures — including encryption in transit and access controls — to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to safeguard your information.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate data.
Delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
Object to or restrict certain processing.
Request a portable copy of your data.
Withdraw consent at any time.

9. Deleting your account

10. Children's privacy

Property Companion is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, an in-app notice.
